An Experimental Analysis of the Marfa Lights (progress report)

Alexander Stolyarov, Jeff Klenzing, Patrick Roddy et al., 2005. Society of Physics Students, University of Texas at Dallas.

A three-page progress report dated 10 December 2005 on fieldwork by about a dozen UT Dallas students from 10 to 14 May 2004: two video cameras at the viewing area, a traffic counter on US 67 south of Marfa, and a chase car on US 67 in radio contact with the viewing area. The lights moved along a fixed path in line with a radio tower east of US 67, their numbers fell with the traffic after dusk, and the chase car's flashing headlights looked like a Marfa light from the viewing area.
