Where it stands

Still possibleFour pieces of evidence for, two against. It needs two reviews to be accepted.

What it predicts

  • The number of lights falls through the night with traffic on US 67.
  • A vehicle stopped on US 67 and flashing its headlights on cue appears from the viewing area as a Marfa light in the same place.
  • Spectra of the lights are those of vehicle headlamps.
  • The lights lie on lines of sight to US 67 and move along them.

What would rule it out

  • A light in the direction of US 67 recorded while the road was closed and empty.
  • A spectrum or measured distance that no vehicle lamp on the road can give.
