The Bloop recording: photograph
A broadband sound heard on hydrophones more than 5,000 km apart. NOAA matches its spectrogram to icequakes recorded in the Scotia Sea and places the source, by its arrival direction, between Bransfield Strait and the Ross Sea, possibly at Cape Adare.
