Mundus subterraneus, in XII libros digestus

Athanasius Kircher, 1665. Joannes Janssonius van Waesberge.

Contains the map "Situs Insulae Atlantidis, a Mari olim absorptae ex mente Aegyptiorum et Platonis descriptio" (the site of the island of Atlantis, once swallowed by the sea, after the Egyptians and Plato). It draws Atlantis as a large island in the Atlantic between Africa and Spain on one side and America on the other, with south at the top. It is the earliest drawn map of Atlantis in common use.
