Skinwalker Ranch
ranch (approximate extent)
Note
Approximate property outline from OpenStreetMap relation 12131177, whose outline way carries the mapper's note 'exact location tbc'. It follows section lines, adjoins tribal trust land on the west and south, and encloses about 490 acres, against 480 acres in 1996 and 512 in later accounts. Seven private Uintah County parcels whose centres fall inside it total 484 acres (UGRC parcel layer, 2026); the public layer has no owner names, so that these are the ranch's parcels is likely but unconfirmed. The Deseret News (1996) puts the ranch 'just south of Fort Duchesne', three miles from the main road.
