The Bermuda Triangle: A Librarian's Pursuit of Excellence

Lawrence D. Kusche, 1975. North Carolina Libraries 33(4).

The text of a 1975 talk by the Arizona State University reference librarian who traced every Triangle case to contemporary sources. He reports that almost all incidents have ordinary explanations once researched; the few left unexplained are those for which no information exists; some vessels were never known to have vanished in the area; many incidents were not considered mysterious at the time and were misreported years later; and disappearances happen everywhere but only those in the Triangle are publicised. He calls it "a manufactured mystery".
