An Interpretation of Multibeam Bathymetry off Eastern Oak Island, Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia
Gordon B. J. Fader, Robert C. Courtney, n.d.. Geological Survey of Canada (Atlantic), Bedford Institute of Oceanography.
A preliminary interpretation of a 1996 Canadian Hydrographic Service multibeam survey around the island. It states the bedrock: Windsor Group limestone and gypsum under the south-east half, Halifax Formation slate under the north-west, and notes seabed depressions that may be pockmarks or sinkholes.
What it's used for here
The only public geological survey document found; source for the bedrock and for the limits of what sonar can show.
