Radiocarbon dating of the Shroud of Turin

P. E. Damon, D. J. Donahue, B. H. Gore et al., 1989. Nature 337: 611-615.

The joint report of the Arizona, Oxford and Zurich AMS laboratories on subsamples cut from one corner of the cloth on 21 April 1988, with three control textiles of known age. Gives a calibrated range of AD 1260-1390 at 95% confidence and calls the result conclusive evidence that the linen is medieval.
