Revisiting the trajectory of the interstellar object 'Oumuamua: preference for a radially directed non-gravitational acceleration?
Federico Spada, 2023. arXiv.
An independent re-fit of the astrometry that confirms the detection, finds a strong preference for a purely radial acceleration pointing away from the Sun and a moderate preference for a power-law fall-off with exponent between 1 and 2, and concludes that dynamics alone cannot identify the mechanism.
What it's used for here
The independent confirmation of the acceleration and its direction.
