Phosphine in the Venusian Atmosphere: A Strict Upper Limit From SOFIA GREAT Observations

M. A. Cordiner, G. L. Villanueva, H. Wiesemeyer et al., 2022. Geophysical Research Letters 49(22), e2022GL101055.

Three SOFIA flights in November 2021 targeted phosphine lines near 533 and 1,067 GHz and found none; radiative transfer gives a disk-averaged upper limit of 0.8 ppb from 75 to 110 km.
