What standard of proof should count as an accepted reading of an oracle-bone graph?

Why it matters

Accepted readings since 1914 rest on a chain of forms from bone through bronze and seal script to a known character, a phonological fit, and a meaning that works in every attested context[1][2]. The Anyang museum's review has applied this standard to the three awards made since 2016, but its criteria are not published in a form that a proposal can be scored against[3][4].
