The Knossos Hieroglyphic Deposit
Hieroglyphic clay documents from Knossos as displayed in the Heraklion museum; the museum label dates them 2100 to 1700 BC.
Clay bars, medallions, nodules and sealings found by Evans in 1900 in the palace at Knossos, the first hieroglyphic archive known and the basis of his sign list in Scripta Minoa I. Dated by context to Middle Minoan II or III; most pieces are CHIC H documents in the Heraklion museum.
