The Petras hieroglyphic archive
Hieroglyphic inscriptions from Petras as displayed in the Archaeological Museum of Sitia, 1900 to 1700 BC.
A Middle Minoan IIB deposit of hieroglyphic clay documents, seal impressions and seals found together in a sealed destruction level of the palatial building at Petras near Siteia, excavated from 1995 and published in 2010. It is the only hieroglyphic archive dug with modern methods and the best-dated context for the script.
