Cuneiform Digital Library Notes 2011:6. Reply to Steinkeller 2010 on the archaic writing of Enlil/Nippur. In Uruk III, Enlil/Nibru is written EN.KIDₐ/NUN and Ninlil E2.NUN. The ED IIIa writing EN.E2 is a later merger that cannot be explained on palaeographic grounds. Used to judge whether EN AN E2 in an archaic name could be Enlil.
