What it's used for here
Used only as a map to the specialist literature on the lexical tradition: archaic word lists of the early third millennium with nouns only, the profession list Lú A copied almost unchanged for about a thousand years, the Fara god list, and the archaic list AD-GI4 (misnamed "Tribute") whose language has been called possibly non-Sumerian. Veldhuis's History of the Cuneiform Lexical Tradition (2014) is the standard account.
