Keyword detection in natural languages and DNA
M Ortuño, P Carpena, P Bernaola-Galván et al., 2002. Europhysics Letters (EPL).
Shows that important words in a text cluster along it rather than appearing at random, and uses the spread of distances between a word's occurrences to pick out keywords; the same effect is found in DNA.
What it's used for here
The inductive-methods survey lists it as a keyword-detection method (P1) based on how a word's occurrences cluster.
