Precise date for the Laacher See eruption synchronizes the Younger Dryas

Frederick Reinig, Lukas Wacker, Olaf Jöris et al., 2021. Nature 595, 66–69.

Dates the Laacher See eruption in Germany to 13,006 ± 9 cal BP from tree rings buried by its tephra, about 130 years before the Younger Dryas onset in Greenland, and uses the tephra as a tie point between records.
