Study on the luminous characteristics of a natural ball lightning
Hao Wang, Ping Yuan, Jianyong Cen et al., 2018. Applied Physics Letters 112(6), 064103.
Estimates from the 2012 images and a simulated observation experiment that the ball's maximum luminous intensity was about 1.24 × 10⁵ cd at first and about 5.9 × 10⁴ cd for most of its life, with an optical power of about 4.2 kW in 400–690 nm.
