Eine Widerlegung des EMBLA 2002-Berichts zur optischen Luftraumüberwachung in Hessdalen (A rebuttal of the EMBLA 2002 report on the optical survey in Hessdalen)

Matteo Leone, 2006. Zeitschrift für Anomalistik 6, 58–115.

German translation of Leone's 2003 rebuttal. Argues that the recurring blinking light of EMBLA 2002 was a pair of car headlights on a private road about 11.5 km away (azimuth about 185°, elevation near 0°), which he identified with a telescope; that the photometry rests on a wrong distance and other assumptions; that the temperature calculation contains a unit error of about 10⁷; and that the brightness-size relation reflects pixel saturation. Leone accepts that some residents' reports remain unexplained.
