Geology of the Superstition Wilderness Area
Tom Kollenborn, 1997. Apache Junction Public Library (Kollenborn Chronicles).
A local historian's plain account of the range's volcanic geology, noting that the wilderness has never proved highly mineralised near the surface, that mining companies have avoided it, that 1970s core drilling near Woodbury found nothing, and that the small gold veins belong to the Goldfield area outside the range.
