Capturing Bigfoot: A Documentary Film Review and Analysis (Director Marq Evans)

William Munns, 2026. Journal of Scientific Exploration 40(3): 437–442.

A review of the documentary Capturing Bigfoot, which presents new footage of a person in a fur costume walking in woods, staged much like the 1967 film, and statements by Roger Patterson's widow Patricia and son Clint that they know or believe the film was hoaxed. Munns, who inspected the new footage for the film-makers in April 2025, reports it is a camera original on 16 mm Kodachrome with a 1966 date code, shot on a single-lens Kodak K-100, and argues it is a later replica rather than a rehearsal because a date code only bounds the earliest possible use.
