Possible Origins of Event 747 Optical Data
D. S. Sappenfeld, D. H. Sowle, T. H. (Mission Research Corporation) McCartor, 1980. National Security Archive Electronic Briefing Book 190, Document 11.
An expanded August 1980 version of a December 1979 report for AFTAC. Concludes, as before, that a nuclear detonation was much more likely than any non-nuclear trigger of the bhangmeters, that the data indicate a surface burst, and that the Ruina panel's meteoroid theory has serious flaws; it proposed that the bhangmeter difference could come from a malfunction.
