Identifying the source of perytons at the Parkes radio telescope

E. Petroff, E. F. Keane, E. D. Barr et al., 2015. Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society 451(4), 3933–3940.

Traces perytons to microwave ovens on the Parkes site whose doors were opened before the end of the cycle, shows the ovens could not have produced the fast radio burst FRB 010724, and concludes that fast radio bursts remain good candidates for extragalactic transients.
