Radio Bursts with Extragalactic Spectral Characteristics Show Terrestrial Origins

Sarah Burke-Spolaor, Matthew Bailes, Ronald Ekers et al., 2011. The Astrophysical Journal 727(1), 18.

Reports 16 swept-frequency pulses, later called perytons, seen in a sidelobe of the Parkes telescope and clearly terrestrial, whose sweep resembles the Lorimer burst's; argues that they cast doubt on the extragalactic reading of that burst.
