Preferential occurrence of fast radio bursts in massive star-forming galaxies
Kritti Sharma, Vikram Ravi, Liam Connor et al., 2024. Nature 635(8037), 61–66.
Stellar populations of 30 host galaxies from the Deep Synoptic Array show a deficit of low-mass hosts: FRBs favour massive star-forming galaxies, possibly through metallicity and magnetars formed in stellar mergers.
What it's used for here
Host demographics as a constraint on the progenitor channel.
