A census of baryons in the Universe from localized fast radio bursts

J.-P. Macquart, J. X. Prochaska, M. McQuinn et al., 2020. Nature 581(7809), 391–395.

Uses the dispersion of localised bursts with host redshifts to measure the electron column along each sight line, accounting for the ionised baryons that other methods miss.
