Destruction of Molecular Hydrogen Ice and Implications for 1I/2017 U1 ('Oumuamua)
Thiem Hoang, Abraham Loeb, 2020. The Astrophysical Journal Letters.
Argues that starlight would sublimate a hydrogen-ice body of 'Oumuamua's size in under ten million years, that collisional heating in molecular clouds would destroy it before escape, and that hydrogen-rich grains are unlikely to grow in dense environments. ApJL 899, L23.
What it's used for here
The main objection to the hydrogen-iceberg reading.
