Configuration of Single Giant Planet Systems Generating 'Oumuamua-Like Interstellar Asteroids

Xi-Ling Zheng, Ji-Lin Zhou, 2025. Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society.

Long-term simulations of a low-mass star with one giant planet, testing whether the tidal-fragmentation route of Zhang and Lin can produce 'Oumuamua-like bodies; finds that about 3 per cent of ejected objects would be extremely elongated.
