Keywords and co-occurrence patterns in the Voynich manuscript: an information-theoretic analysis

Marcelo A. Montemurro, Damián H. Zanette, 2013. PLoS ONE 8(6): e66344.

Measures how unevenly each word is spread across the Voynich text and finds that its vocabulary clusters by section much as the vocabulary of a real book does. The authors also extract groups of related words and take the results as support for a meaningful text rather than a hoax.

What it's used for here

The book relies on it for the long-range, section-by-section clustering of vocabulary, which its own scribe-controlled contrasts confirm and which it counts against a meaningless generator.
