The hamlet of Ariel on the Lewis River below Lake Merwin (OpenStreetMap node 150958265, 1 km away), at the centre of the area the FBI and the crew's timings put the jump in. The jump point was never fixed: the FBI's own estimates and the Citizen Sleuths' flight-path analysis differ by tens of kilometres, so this is a marker for the search area, not a fix.
