Note
Placed from the description only. Six shore stations' direction-finding put the flight north of the Bahamas and east of Florida, within about 100 miles, and the searching aircraft were sent to a point "130 miles east of New Smyrna, Florida"; the point is 130 nautical miles due east of New Smyrna Beach. No wreckage has been found, so where the aircraft came down is unknown.
