Placed from the description: at a creek mouth on the west side of the Chowan River near the head of Albemarle Sound, by the Algonquian town of Mettaquem, which puts it near the mouth of Salmon Creek (OpenStreetMap way 41540586). The First Colony Foundation does not publish the site's position.
