Prepared by a team of up to 75 NRL staff from MILS and SOSUS hydrophone data. The report and the data remain classified. Its main findings are summarised in a declassified letter of 11 December 1980 from the NRL research director, Alan Berman, to the Office of Science and Technology Policy, which De Geer & Wright call NRLRD-80.
