Where it stands

Still possibleOne piece of evidence for, one against. It needs two reviews to be accepted.

What it predicts

  • Once Cypro-Minoan values are fixed independently, sequences matching Eteocypriot -o-ti and -o-ko-o- will recur in the Cypriot Cypro-Minoan texts above chance.
  • Personal names in the Enkomi and Kalavasos texts will share formation patterns with Amathusian names.

What would rule it out

  • Consistent Cypro-Minoan values yield sequences that never match Eteocypriot forms.
  • The Eteocypriot language is identified with an outside family absent from Bronze Age Cyprus.
