## What it's used for here

The only systematic quantitative study of the sign sequences. Classifies 59 per cent of signs as pottery marks, 11.5 per cent as asymmetric spindle-whorl ornament and 29.5 per cent as possible non-phonetic (semasiographic) notation; concludes the Danube script is neither writing nor proto-writing, and criticises Winn's list for rotating and grouping signs arbitrarily. Budapest: Archaeolingua, Series Minor 42, 110 pp., ISBN 978-615-5766-29-9.
