## What it's used for here

Edited volume, Cambridge Classical Studies, open access under CC BY-NC-ND 4.0. Nine chapters covering the sign inventory (Ferrara), logograms (Valério, Flouda), seals as writing or ornament (Jasink and Weingarten, Civitillo), clay as a writing support (Steele), a unified signary and acrophonic origins (Meissner and Salgarella), a syllabotactic test of whether Cretan Hieroglyphic and Linear A share a language (Davis), and an agenda (Bennet and Petrakis), with an epilogue by Younger. The introduction gives the corpus as about 200 clay documents, 136 seals and 16 miscellaneous items of MM IA to MM III. Used as the state of the field in 2024.
