# Spectroscopic Measurements of Natural and Artificial Light Sources

Sagar Ghimire, 2010. _Texas State University-San Marcos (thesis)_.

A Texas State University thesis (August 2010) built on a twenty-night field study at the site where the Marfa lights are most often reported. It develops a method based on the absorption of molecular oxygen near 762 nm to identify false positives and estimate their distance, studies a small glow discharge on porous rock, and sets out an absolute calibration of the spectroscopic system.
