# Families of Plausible Solutions to the Puzzle of Boyajian's Star

Jason T. Wright, Steinn Sigurdsson, 2016. _The Astrophysical Journal Letters 829(1), L3_.

Surveys the space of explanations after the fade results: a cloud in the outer Solar System, structure in the interstellar medium, natural or artificial material orbiting the star, an intervening object with a large disk, and variations in the star itself. Finds the dip timings consistent with random and rates the interstellar and intervening-disk models as the more plausible natural ones.
