# KIC 8462852 Faded Throughout the Kepler Mission

Benjamin T. Montet, Joshua D. Simon, 2016. _The Astrophysical Journal Letters 830(2), L39_.

Photometry from the Kepler full-frame images shows the star faded by 0.341 ± 0.041 per cent per year for about 1,000 days, then by more than 2 per cent in about 200 days. None of 193 nearby comparison stars or 355 similar stars behaves this way, and no known stellar process explains the light curve.
