Report of 14 June 2022 on the announcement of 13 June: pits 3 to 8 have yielded nearly 13,000 numbered objects, 3,155 of them largely complete, and radiocarbon dating places the pits in the late Shang period, about 3,200 to 3,000 years ago, ending a dispute over their date of about thirty years.
