# Testing of a modified Seistec seismic reflection profiler and its application to the marine geology of offshore eastern Oak Island, Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia, Canada

Peter G. Simpkin, Gordon B. J. Fader, 2024. _Atlantic Geoscience 60: 001-014_.

Sub-bottom seismic profiles shot off eastern Oak Island in 2017, read against the 1996 multibeam survey. Describes the island (seven drumlins, a triangular swamp between the two largest, a 160 m causeway), maps sinkholes and pockmarks off South Shore Cove, and notes that most geologists conclude the shafts and tunnels are searchers' work.
