# Tracking Late Holocene climate change and the 1908 Tunguska impact event from lake sediments in Central Siberia

D. Y. Rogozin, L. B. Nazarova, N. A. Rudaya et al., 2025. _Quaternary Research 125, 1–19_.

A 2,200-year core from Lake Zapovednoye near the event site, analysed for geochemistry, pollen, chironomids, Cladocera and diatoms. Finds a layer rich in terrigenous elements at about 1908, presumably soil erosion after the tree fall, and a fall in chironomid and cladoceran diversity that recovered in 6–10 years.
