# Evidence that Lake Cheko is not an impact crater

G. S. Collins, N. Artemieva, K. Wünnemann et al., 2008. _Terra Nova 20(2), 165–168_.

Argues the lake is not crater-like, has no impactor material, and has mature trees close by apparently unaffected, and that a fragment would need 10–40 MPa tensile strength to reach the ground intact, 10–100 times more than large stony meteorites show.
