# Rapanui Writing and the Rapanui Language: Preliminary Results of a Statistical Analysis

Konstantin Pozdniakov, Igor Pozdniakov, 2007. _Forum for Anthropology and Culture 3_.

Concludes from glyph statistics that 52 basic glyphs account for 99.7 per cent of the corpus, and compares glyph frequency distributions with syllable statistics of Rapanui to argue the script could be syllabic. Also shows that the four glyphs in Fischer's key example make up about a fifth of the corpus. Pages 3 to 36.
