# Fifteen significant droughts: radiocarbon dating and the last years of the Hittite kingdom (version 2)

Graham Hagens, 2026. _Ägypten und Levante 35, 201–212_.

Re-examines the Gordion data of Manning et al. 2023 and argues that a series of fifteen significant droughts over the 13th and 12th centuries, rather than a single episode, drove the century-long decline of the Hittite kingdom.
