# Poseidon's horses: plate tectonics and earthquake storms in the Late Bronze Age Aegean and eastern Mediterranean

Amos Nur, Eric H. Cline, 2000. _Journal of Archaeological Science 27(1), 43–63_.

Overlays 20th-century zones of strong shaking on the map of sites destroyed at the end of the Late Bronze Age, finds nearly all destroyed sites in high-shaking areas, and suggests an "earthquake storm" in 1225–1175 BC, while stating that the evidence is not conclusive.
