# Eine Widerlegung des EMBLA 2002-Berichts zur optischen Luftraumüberwachung in Hessdalen (A rebuttal of the EMBLA 2002 report on the optical survey in Hessdalen)

Matteo Leone, 2006. _Zeitschrift für Anomalistik 6, 58–115_.

German translation of Leone's 2003 rebuttal. Argues that the recurring blinking light of EMBLA 2002 was a pair of car headlights on a private road about 11.5 km away (azimuth about 185°, elevation near 0°), which he identified with a telescope; that the photometry rests on a wrong distance and other assumptions; that the temperature calculation contains a unit error of about 10⁷; and that the brightness-size relation reflects pixel saturation. Leone accepts that some residents' reports remain unexplained.
