# Evaluation of Some Geophysical Events on 22 September 1979

E. W., Jr. Hones, D. N. Baker, W. C. (Los Alamos Scientific Laboratory) Feldman, 1981. _National Security Archive Electronic Briefing Book 190, Document 12_.

April 1981 analysis of a TIROS-N electron precipitation event (unusually large but not unique) and of a patch of auroral light seen from Syowa Station, Antarctica, a few seconds after the Vela event, which could be interpreted, though not uniquely, as an effect of a surface burst's electromagnetic pulse.
