# Possible Origins of Event 747 Optical Data

D. S. Sappenfeld, D. H. Sowle, T. H. (Mission Research Corporation) McCartor, 1980. _National Security Archive Electronic Briefing Book 190, Document 11_.

An expanded August 1980 version of a December 1979 report for AFTAC. Concludes, as before, that a nuclear detonation was much more likely than any non-nuclear trigger of the bhangmeters, that the data indicate a surface burst, and that the Ruina panel's meteoroid theory has serious flaws; it proposed that the bhangmeter difference could come from a malfunction.
