# A repeating fast radio burst source in a globular cluster

F. Kirsten, B. Marcote, K. Nimmo et al., 2022. _Nature 602(7898), 585–589_.

VLBI localisation of the repeater FRB 20200120E to a globular cluster of the nearby galaxy M81, about 2 pc from the cluster's centre. Old stellar populations challenge models in which FRBs come from young magnetars born in core-collapse supernovae.
